New Zealanders love to spend time in, on or around rivers. However more people drown in rivers than in any other aquatic environment in New Zealand.

The Be River Safe Tool Box is a is a mixture of information and suggested activities that can be used by:

  • teachers and leaders
  • young people and learners
  • anyone wanting to be river safe when they are enjoying an activity in, on or around a river.
