Water Safety New Zealand is on a mission to help New Zealand’s schools keep their swimming pools open.
In the past six years more than 150 school pools have closed – and we know a further thirty are at risk. We believe that school pools are a vital resource for teaching children how to swim to survive – and in the long-term, bring New Zealand’s high drowning toll down.
If you’d like to help support this initiative, we’d love to hear from you.
Businesses interested in offering their services to these high need schools should contact Sheridan Bruce of Water Safety New Zealand.
And if you’d like to help ensure today’s kiwi kids get the valuable swim and survival skills they need – you can donate via our Givealittle page. All funds raised will go directly to school pool repairs and restoration.
