Water Safety New Zealand is an incorporated society (with charitable status), based on a membership structure. Members cover a wide range of water activities and initiatives with water safety and the prevention of drowning, fundamental to their missions.
WaterSafe Auckland (WAI) focusses on three channels of engagement across Community, Education and Workplace to help reduce drowning and develop water competence across Auckland. This is achieved through professional learning and development for educators, programme delivery with community groups and the workplace, and awareness-raising at events – all underpinned by research and evaluation.
Windsurfing New Zealand promotes windsurfing to the general public, encourages a national standard of safety and skill at windsurfing schools and runs courses for new instructors.
Yachting New Zealand is the National Sports Body in New Zealand for the sport of sailing at all levels. We are a non profit organisation of approximately 20 employees around the country and 250+ member clubs, classes and organisations.
