Jet Boating New Zealand
Jet Boating New Zealand has represented jet boaters almost since the inception of the jet boat back in the late fifties, originally established under the incorporated organisation Jet Boat Association of New Zealand.
Today, more than 2000 jet boat members are represented by nine regional branches around New Zealand, responsible to an elected National Executive Management Committee. JBNZ represents the largest group of recreational boaters in the country.
Many of the safety initiatives undertaken by JBNZ decades ago have set benchmarks well in advance of regulatory authorities including the mandatory wearing of life jackets by all passengers. Additionally every jet boat operated by a JBNZ member is registered and displays identification.Recently a driver-training scheme has also been developed and is also being introduced to ensure anyone with a jet boat understands how to get the best from their jet boat.
JBNZ is a proud member of the boating fraternity in a part of the world considered the holy grail of jet boating by both pleasure and competition jet boaters alike.
