Water Safety New Zealand (WSNZ) provides leadership within the water safety sector in New Zealand. This includes a vital role in water safety education, awareness and prevention initiatives in the community.
The Regional Manager will primarily be responsible for the co-ordination and promotion of water safety initiatives and resources in the South Island. The Regional Manager will utilise the full “suite” of WSNZ resources to raise awareness of water safety issues in communities as well as working with WSNZ Members, Regional Sports Trusts, Territorial Authorities, Regional Councils, injury prevention and health providers plus schools, swim schools and aquatic facilities to enhance water safety education.
A major objective of the role is to support and facilitate the implementation of ‘learn to swim’ in schools in the region.

You will be working with a professional organisation, staffed by a dedicated team based in Wellington (Head Office) and Auckland. The location of this role will be determined upon appointment. This position forms an important component of the WSNZ operations, the remuneration offered will take into consideration your experience and ability.
